Tom from Save the Whales came to our school and gave a great presentation about whales and sea turtles. His presentation was very hands-on and the kids loved it! They were very excited to learn about the ocean environment and taking care of it. We hope to see him every year!

I am a Third grade teacher in Salinas and have had the privilege of having Tom come to our school to teach the students about whales, otters, sea turtles, and ocean ecology. His presentations are hands on, with lots of activities and actual whale bones and baleen. He shares videos, models and pictures with the students and they are very engaged and interested in everything he shares with us. A lucky child gets to put on the whale costume.
They love his presentations.

Every year Tom from Save the Whales gives our Third graders a presentation about Whales or sea turtles. The kids love learning about the animals and how to help the environment. All the pictures and models he brings are great. When one student gets dressed up in the whale costume everybody has a great time. Hope he can come back every year!

Tom from Save the Whales comes to my school every year to do a presentation to all the Third grade classes. His presentations are very informative, interesting, and hands-on. The children are very engaged and excited to learn about marine mammals and to see the pictures and artifacts he brings. They really get into all the sights and sounds. He inspires them to take care of the water environment. I hope he will come back every year!

I am a Third grade teacher in Salinas and most of my students are Hispanic and come from homes where English is a second language. Tom has brought his presentation on The Amazing Lives of Sea Turtles to our school and the children loved it! Most of the children have never seen a sea turtle and rarely visit the ocean. The children were so engaged and excited by the program, and Tom made it so fun and informative. I hope that we can have many more of his presentations.

Tom from Save the Whales did several presentations over the years at my school and my class has always enjoyed them very much. He gets the kids' attention and does a very organized and instructional program. His slide shows are great and he has hands-on activities that the kids love to participate in. The kids care about not polluting the environment and can really understand the concepts by the activities such as putting drops of colored water into the watershed model that shows how pollutants get into the water in the bay. They are excited and want to share their new knowledge with their families.
