Review for Truthout, Sacramento, CA, USA
Truthout is a rare organization that pulls together journalists with integrity and a hunger for exposing corruption and folly in our society. Our country simply needs more organizations like this to keep us a vigilant and informed Democracy.
Truthout helps me inform my community, colleagues, and friends about our the political and economic landscape of our country. It motivates me daily to work toward a more equitable and prosperous community.
Today, for instance, I spoke about my community's concerns about school teacher reductions with the head of HR for the entire city school system. I am proud that I have established a communication link between parents of my school, the teacher's Union, and the LAUSD school system. Truthout helps motivate me to be an active and responsible citizen. They provide a national and local context to I value them so much that I donate a very small amount to TruthOut on a monthly basis.

Simply do more of what they are already providing, and get the funds they need to reach more people.
