Review for WeSPARK Cancer Support Center, Sherman Oaks, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

weSpark is the best Cancer Support Center in Southern California. The programs support the entire human being and facilitate healing. Without weSpark, many people would not be doing as well as they are doing. From the moment a person walks in the front door, that person can feel the love, compassion and support. weSpark clients are given every tool necessary to fight this disease--and the clients are winning!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have seen many people get through their tests without as many side effects. I have witnessed how each person supports another and offers them hope. I have seen how the clients do so much better after being at weSpark for just a week.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would run it the same way, but expand to other cities, or expand the facility to help more people.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The caring staff and the incredible determination of the clients. They are truly Inspirational!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Professional, compassionate and extremely dedicated. Great!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Expand to meet the need of many more people going through cancer, and those who have survived cancer. It could expand its programs and perhaps open satellites to help people in other communities. I know they would put any money they receive to good use.

Ways to make it better...

I cannot think of anything that would make my experience better---this is the best place around.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Financial. The clients do not pay, so all the money to run these beneficial programs must come from the public. weSpark needs to expand to be able to help more people.

One thing I'd also say is that...

If you, your mother, daughter, sister or friend had cancer, wouldn't you want a weSpark near them to help them fight this disease? Yes, you would!

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009
