Review for Galveston Bay Foundation, Webster, TX, USA
The Galveston Bay Foundation has been very effective over the years in bringing various user groups together to work for the benefit of the bay. That is not always easy, but it has resulted in success in opposing permits that would adversely affect the bay, restoring marshes, trying to ensure that there is adequate freshwater into the estuary and educating the public about the science and importance of the resource.

I have worked on the board with environmental group representatives, industrial concerns, shippers, recreation boaters and fisherman, commercial fisherman, municipal interests and more for the good of our bay.

Try to increase membership. All of the millions of residents in the Houston Galveston area are affected by the health of the bay and many of those should belong to GBF to help make that happen.
