Review for Peconic Baykeeper Inc, Hampton Bays, NY, USA
I'm not sure why it takes someone like The Peconic Bay Keeper to remind people that its not OK to flush your toilet directly into the bay...but aparently it does, and our Bay Keeper is very effective at it - recently getting the entire South Shore Estuary Reserve listed as a no-vessel-discharge zone.

Through participation in workshops aimed at improving County health codes to better protect our surface waters as well as our drinking water.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Hire more lawyers for them, although I'm not a big proponent of legal action, we need to better hold our officials and agencies responsible for following and enforcing the environmental laws we work so hard to pass.
Role: Professional with expertise in this field & I have joined the Peconic Bay Keeper in trying to improve water quality in Long Island's bays.
