Review for Ruths Reusable Resources, Portland, ME, USA
Ruth's is a resource for teachers. Items are donated by local companies such as LL Bean, US Felt MFG, Fibercraft, and Big Al's. The items donated consist of used binders, overstock office supplies, felt scraps or stickers. Teachers, whose school is registered, can pick out items of their choice to bring back to their classroom. Today I got everything from felt scraps which will be used as filters in science class, pencils, used binders, and mesh bags which will be used for leaf litter macro-invertebrate lessons. Empty unused plastic chowder containers and paint brushes will be used to hold materials for building anatomical models. The facility is very well organized, clean and carefully monitored.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would try to contact schools to see if they have old textbooks they could donate and make drop-off sites for donations around the state.
