Review for Kids In Need Foundation, Roseville, MN, USA
I am so impressed with Kids in Need! I received my first grant from them this year. Every step of the process, from application to follow-up, was simple and expediently handled. As contacts go, Penny Hawk is invaluable. The KIN grant has provided my students with a unique and relevant opportunity that they would otherwise never experience. I cannot thank KIN enough for enriching these 18 lives! In addition, I think that the partnership with Elmer's for the Teacher Tool Kit is brilliant. In essence, they have organized a national professional learning community. Sharing these creative projects is exciting; funding them is extraordinary!

My students are currently engaged in a thematic unit funded by KIN. They LOVE learning about the Everglades -- from the Native American culture to the indigenious wildlife. As they become informed about this precious resource in their own backyard, their awareness of conservation is heightened. They are now educating their friends and families!
