Review for Womens Global Empowerment Fund, Denver, CO, USA
I have been volunteering with WGEF since it started and have been amazed at the change they are making in Uganda! I have seen women be transformed from timid, sad women looking for a handout, to strong, confident business women! They don't just provide a loan to get women started, they provide support and encouragement to empower women to succeed and better the lives of their families. It is truly amazing to work with this organization.

Grace, a widow I met in Uganda before WGEF began working there, was a quiet, sad woman who always was wondering what people would give her. Two years later, she is confident, happy, and has improved the life of herself and her daughter. Not only does she run a successful business thanks to a WGEF loan, but she is also a peer counselor, helping other women who are starting their businesses to succeed. The transformation is incredible!
