Review for Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, Irvine, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The PCRF is my #1 charity as my family (like most) have been touched by cancer... fortunately, the children in my family are healthy, but to think that children are dealing with the disease that took my parents is heart wrenching. The PCRF not only fights children's cancer, but they perform fundraising and awareness in inventive ways such as the Dribble For The Cure event with USC basketball (going on its fourth year). I've been involved with this event since its inception (and am proud to say I've been the top individual fundraiser every year). My kids are aware and get involved at an early age rather than just watch my efforts. I know UCLA basketball started their own event with the PCRF last year, and hopefully this ball keeps rolling. The fact is, cancer kills more children than any other disease and the PRCF makes sure that 80% of what I raise goes directly to fighting this important fight.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

cure childhood cancer and perhaps cancer in general.

Ways to make it better...

there was even more notice as to when the event is being held so that the maximum amount of funds can be raised.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

Role:  Donor & I dribbled a basketball to raise awareness for childhood cancer and raised money to fight the disease.
