The Rotary Club of Palatine, Illinois is a proud member of Rotary International and received its charter in 1964. For over 45 years the club has been been involved in local and international causes raising money and awareness. For the past 3 years the club has raised funds through their Oktoberfest event held in Mid-September in downtown Palatine. Proceeds from Oktoberfest has helped benefit several local charities including The Bridge Youth & Family Services, Palatine Opportunity Center, Society for the Preservation of Human Dignity, Little Sisters of the Poor, Clearbrook, Shelter, Inc., Journeys from PADS to HOPE, WINGS, Boy Scouts of America-Northwest Suburban Council, Hines VA Hospital, American Legion, and other veterans organizations. The event also raises money for the eradication of Polio by raising funds for Rotary International End Polio Now Program.
