Unbelievable! After setting up our CaringBridge site we fortunately had a friend test it. The first post they saw was not one of ours, but rather a scam message asking people to send money to CaringBridge, in "honor" of us! The exact words are these: "Help [my parents' names] stay connected to family and friends. Your tribute gift is a donation to CaringBridge that's made in dedication to [my parent's names]. And if you make your gift by midnight it can be doubled by DoorDash. Will you be the first donor to help keep this page online?"
