Review for R3 Student Outreach, San Antonio, TX, USA
R3 Student Outreach is an amazing organization and my time as a student has been so smooth.
A little about myself, I am a 29 year old student. When I was 18 years old in 12th grade I got pregnant and was so sick I dropped out. My child ended up dying two weeks after birth and I fell into the deepest darkest grief which included postpartum psychosis that lasted nearly 6 months and depression that lasted years after having and losing him, even to today. I have spent years trying to get out of that depression, including throughout my second pregnancy and having my second child. The relationship with his father was horrible and again I was alone and depressed this time raising my child alone, so finishing school just never crossed my mind. That is until a friend of mine's niece completed this program in 2024 and she referred the program to me. The process to join the High School Diploma program was so simple and the work, though challenging at times was also pretty simple and straightforward, of course, I had gone through much of it before. Lol. There was always help and encouragement when and where I needed and I appreciate Mr. Juan and Mercedes for that. It is self paced and I finished in about 2 months(Feb 7-Apr 18) while also taking a 5 weeks CNA course and clinical in the middle of the program.
I am so proud of myself for going back after all these years and getting my diploma not only for myself, but for my child as well so he can see that it doesn't matter how long it takes, doing it is better than not and all accomplishments should be celebrated. He has been a motivation to get it done and I'm so blessed that this program exists and made it possible for me to do so!
I 100% recommend this program to anyone wanting to get their High school Diploma, no matter how long it's been since you were in school. It's worth it and the sense of accomplishment is immense!!
Thank you so much R3 Youth Outreach for making it possible for people like me and others to obtain our diploma and giving us a village.
