When my grandmother unexpectedly passed away, I missed a lot of work helping my mom begin handling the estate. I was unsure how I was going to make ends meet financially but my manager at the indie bookstore where I work told me about BINC and sent in a request for assistance on my behalf. Painlessly and quickly, BINC approved financial assistance on my behalf to cover next months rent which allowed me to spend more time with my family grieving and sorting affairs. I'm so grateful for BINC and what they do for people in the book industry! It's a job of passion, not one that will make you rich so I am thankful.
