Review for Compassion International, Inc., Colorado Springs, CO, USA
I Sponser 22 children with Compassion International and absolutely love it!! I have been sponsoring children for almost 2 years now. Most of my sponser kids are 1 and two year old babies but thats ok, i am ready to commit to them for the long term. I want to get to know each one of my kids and watch them grow and thrive. Some of the kids I sponser are very shy and I hear from them only once in a while, where other children I sponser are very outgoing and write me back whenever they get the chance. You know what? That's okay. I was a shy kid myself so I understand. At the end of the day I am still a stranger to these children. I don't expect anything from them, but when I do hear from my kids its an amazing feeling. I cannot help but feel that maybe this is my purpose, to help children and their families who need it most. I feel very humbled, honored, and blessed to be my children's sponser and consider it a privilege to watch them learn and grow. I keep a scrapbook for each of the children I sponser, I have records of the letters I sent and received from each of my kids. My favorite part of the program is the letter writing, I love to hand make all my kid's cards and personalize each one to my kids likes and interests. Lastly I have sent both family gifts and child gifts + the birthday gift to each of my children every year. I have always received in return a family photo or an image of my child holding whatever they bought with the gift money. I got to tell you, its a great feeling to know that your money is going somewhere good and is helping struggling people make it through. In conclusion, if i could sponser 100 children i would. I highly recommend Compassion International to anyone who is thinking about helping people in need.
