Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My name is Bright Yinpotammit Ziba, a Bsc. Architecture student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. I am in my fourth year.
At the beginning of my university journey, I faced the real possibility of dropping out due to financial constraints. My parents had already sacrificed everything they could to pay for my first year, selling all the livestock they owned. To support myself, I took on various menial jobs, including working as a driver’s assistant and at a butcher shop. Unfortunately, the demanding nature of these jobs took a toll on my studies, and my academic performance suffered.
In my second year, the financial burden had worsened. My parents had nothing left to sell, and I had no means of covering my tuition or living expenses. I was on the verge of postponing my studies when my lecturer encouraged me to apply for the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship. I had little hope, considering the number of applicants, but I applied nonetheless.
Receiving the EPI scholarship changed everything positively for me. It was a turning point in my life and that of my family. The scholarship relieved me of my financial worries, allowing me to focus on my studies and improve my academic performance. My grades have significantly improved, and I am getting closer to achieving my dream of becoming an architect.
Beyond financial support, the EPI scholarship has contributed immensely to my personal and professional growth. Through seminars, leadership training, and mentorship programs, I have gained valuable skills in public speaking, writing, and self-confidence. This year, the scholarship has expanded its benefits even further, offering more career guidance, networking opportunities, and additional workshops aimed at equipping beneficiaries with practical skills for the job market.
With the stability provided by the scholarship, I have been able to fully immerse myself in my studies, refining my knowledge of architecture and sustainability. As an aspiring architect, I am passionate about designing structures that balance functionality and environmental sustainability. I am particularly driven to improve Ghana’s urban planning, ensuring that cities and communities are designed efficiently to support infrastructure development and minimize traffic congestion.
EPI has not only given me financial relief but has also empowered me with the resources and confidence to chase my dreams. I remain deeply grateful for this life-changing opportunity, and I am committed to using my education to make a meaningful impact in my field and society.
