As a veteran, finding a sense of purpose and connection after service can be a challenge! Operation Second Chance has been a true blessing. The events Josh hosts in Bakersfield have given me something I didn’t realize I was missing; the chance to reconnect with my brothers and sisters in arms in a meaningful way. Whether it’s a coffee chat, a local gathering, or just sharing stories around others who understand, these moments have helped pull me out of isolation and reminded me that I’m not alone. Operation Second Chance truly lives up to its name! They gave me a second chance to feel that bond, that camaraderie, and most importantly, that sense of belonging again. I’m deeply grateful.
