The elephants that are in the sanctuary all have a touching and heartbreaking story. To be able to see the extensive land, care and resources they are now immersed in is amazing. It is overwhelming to see a former circus and/or zoo elephant who was traumatized from a young age be able to roam freely, without any human contact. It is so sad to hear their stories, but so uplifting to see how they are living out the rest of their days. The work at the sanctuary is unmeasurable and I am thankful this good organization and good staff are there to give love and care to these magnificent creatures.
