AKOSUA POKUAH YEBOAH
I am currently Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship recipient, a biochemistry student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) named Akosua Pokuah Yeboah, and I would like to talk about how this scholarship program has significantly impacted my life.
As there is an adage which says, no one who achieves success does so without acknowledging the help of others. Indeed, the achievement of my academic success has been massively contributed by this scholarship program. This has helped to reduce the financial constraints I used to go through. I now have the free mind to concentrate on my studies without any stress. Through EPI, my tuition fees, accommodation, books, living expenses, and other basic needs have been relieved from me. This has given me the hope that I can become the Medical Doctor I dream to be. The passion for medicine was hindered whenever I thought of the financial crisis but this has intrigued in me the delight of the future.
In addition, my academic performance has been boosted through the assistance of this scholarship program. I now have access to the necessary equipment for my studies which include a laptop given to me by EPI, textbooks, and so on. The peace of mind for my studies has improved drastically. The inferiority complex which used to be a struggle for me due to financial constraints has been reduced drastically. Due to this program, I have a renewal of mindset, boosting my confidence among my peers to lead presentations and other programs. This has helped me to indulge in leadership skills and have a sense of belong.
Furthermore, this scholarship program has also aided me in networking. It has provided access to a community of like-minded individuals and to build connections with mentors. I have learned a lot from the community in terms of academics and other things in life. The new skills gained include confidence building, access to new ideas, effective communication, and active listening has also influenced my life positively.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the EPI scholarship for making this great change in my life. I really appreciate their thoughtful kindness towards me. I strongly believe with this support my desires and aspirations will not be left in the bud.
