Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My name is Laudina Adutwumwaa. I am a second-year law student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. I am a very optimistic girl and a devout Christian. I didn’t know of any scholarship opportunities when I applied to study law at KNUST, but fortunately by God’s grace, I was introduced to the Educational Pathways International Scholarship (EPI) through some loved ones at my church. I applied for the scholarship and by God’s grace, after being shortlisted and interviewed, I was selected. EPI has really been beneficial to me academically, morally and financially. Academically, I must admit that we, the beneficiaries are always encouraged to learn harder and excel in our respective programmes. This has been one of the profound priorities of Auntie Eunice, the Program Director, who always admonishes us to feel free to bring any academic challenges we face to her attention so that the needed help would be given. It is always very inspiring and motivating to have someone to encourage you to do your best and work hard to excel. I am very grateful in that regard. As part of the scholarship program, we meet occasionally to have sessions on personal and professional development and this has been a kind of moral support to me. The sessions are lively, interactive and very educative. We are taught the importance of soft skills such as good communication skills, adaptability and time consciousness and has really been helpful in preparing us for working after school. I’m grateful to EPI for this opportunity to be part of this scholarship program. Financially, being a beneficiary of EPI has been a kind of relief to my parents since the funds from EPI is able to cater for my books, school fees, accommodation and pocket money. This has helped to reduce the financial burden on my parents to adequately cater for the rest of my siblings.I chose to read law because I am good at researching and reading resourceful materials. Law has many broad fields and I am of the hope that as I climb the academic ladder, I would be able to specialize in some of these fields. Currently, my interests are in contract law and labour law. By the knowledge and proficiency I would gain, I hope to bring a positive impact to my community and the country at large in any of these fields I would specialize in. Finally, I would like to express my profound gratitude to EPI for this great opportunity. It is my prayer that God will bless EPI and make it flourish to His glory to continue impacting the lives of people, especially, brilliant but needy students. God bless EPI.
