I first encountered PAWS NE at an adoption event in the fall of 2024. I had one dog already, and wasn't really looking to add another, I just wanted to go pet all the dogs while enjoying a cold beverage from the brewery hosting the event. Then I noticed a shy girl doing her best to go unnoticed and was immediately drawn to her. A few weeks later I filled out an adoption application and brought Honey home. Now I have two great pups to hog the bed at night and follow me everywhere I go!

The adoption process with PAWS NE was very straightforward. They were thorough in making sure it was a good match for both me and the dog, but not overly intrusive. The adoption coordinator stayed in touch throughout the process so I always knew what the next step was. I felt that the adoption fee was more than fair considering she was already spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
