This organization is guided by people who truly love parrots and work hard to ensure that the many species of parrots, we find all over the world continue to thrive, and especially those facing possible extinction. They partner with the local people who treasure these wonderful birds, and provide them with the training and resources help the birds flourish. Already, this strategy is working to rebuild their numbers and, in some cases, enough to to ensure their continual survival for future generations to enjoy. Also, and this is very important, they work tirelessly to track down poachers who illegally smuggle those species in high demand for the pet market, and see that they are meted out the justice they deserve . And finally, they have a great online site (parrots.org), and an amazing quarterly monthly magazine that updates the activities of its dedicated workers all over the world and is filled with stunning photographs of the birds, themselves. I am proud to be a longtime contributor to this wonderful charity. organization.
