Review for Keystone Elk Country Alliance, Benezette, PA, USA
The Keystone Elk Country Alliance Group is the best! This is the second year I have used them as part of my classroom teaching. My third-grade class enjoyed the long -distance Zoom learning experience, as well as the 'elk trunk' they sent. Inside the 'trunk' was a binder filled with pictures, printable hand-outs, and lessons that I could use to teach to my class. The other things in the trunk really excited the students.
There was an elk skull, elk scapula, and jawbone, also elk antlers, a huge pelt, and hoof - and deer antlers and hoof. The students were amazed at the size difference between the deer and elk, All students had the opportunity to touch and feel everything in the 'elk trunk', The following day we Zoomed with a ranger from Elk County visitor center. She taught them more about elk and ended the session with a question-and-answer session. I would recommend this group to anyone.
