I feel that this is the best organization for therapy animals (teamed with caring humans, who are the "Salt of the Earth" type individuals) because of their rigorous standards, continuing education and emphasis on Zooeyia: the health benefits of the human-animal connection. They offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities, so that teams choose the best "fit" for their pet partner to have the most positive impact. They are always supportive and want their visiting teams to be successful.
My dog, Tucker, showed me, at a young age, that he wished to be a Therapy Dog. He is extremely cute and a total "Social Butterfly", who enjoys social interactions with everyone he meets. A 30-second touch or looking into the soulful eyes of a pet can have a powerful impact on a person, especially one who may be struggling with personal issues that are not publicly apparent. I am humbled when I consider the thousands of people who have met my Tucker, through the DPP Programs. I feel honored to be a part of Denver Pet Partners.
