I've been a foster parent with the Animal Rescue League of Boston for nearly 10 years -- out of two different shelter locations. Their communication with volunteers is great, with practical and timely information (and with a great sense of humor), support (they've made the adoption process so pleasant for folks I've lined up as matches for my fosters) and personal encouragement (great personal notes that make my kids feel good about helping out). Clean, flexible, generous with advice and resources needed to help the animals thrive... A fantastic organization!
