BINC has been a lifesaver for both me. Most recently I experienced a catastrophic medical error while receiving treatment in a local Emergency Department. BINC provided me with quality information on whether and how to deal with the facility and my insurance company, and how to engage an attorney if I wanted to take legal action. I was able to negotiate lower billing and keep myself from being referred to collections while doing so - quite the challenge. And after that, I received a grant to help pay part of the remaining amount owed. The compassion, advice, and monies BINC gave me helped keep me sane and solvent during an extremely challenging period. I've donated to BINC in the past and am excited to move from recipient to donor status once again.
