Women's eNews serves a unique and critical role--covering issues of particular concern to women and providing women’s perspectives on public policy. Mainstream media rarely covers these stories--but they are very important because they enhance women’s ability to define their own lives and to participate fully in every sector of human endeavor. I myself eagerly await the arrival of every Women's eNews story in my inbox....because, for the most part, I can't read it elsewhere.Words DO have power--and in the case of Women's eNews, our stories resonant around the globe, empowering women to imagine their worlds differently, changed, in a word, improved. As we've seen in the Middle East, information couple with social media has the power to transform societies. Women's eNews is unique--reporting boldly, harnessing social media, and giving voice to voiceless.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
One of things that impresses me so much about Women's eNews is the leverage of the organization, given its size. It's impact is substantial, no matter what metric you use--staff size, budget size.... I like to be involved with organizations that have that kind of leverage--"fighting above their weight," if you will. The energy and passion behind the mission is inspirational.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
lavish more money upon it! Simple put, Women's eNews needs more funding--with more funding, it could expand the breath and depth of it's news coverage around the globe.
