Good evening,,, Hello,
I was wondering if you might have or know of anything that could be helpful to me on the area of homelessness prevention. Even tho I’m in Tuscaloosa Cty, my neorologist (UAB) & my eye dr. Callahan is there and my oncologist, here. So def some planning and travel involved. :)
Even help right now with food or paying a simple car insurance etc. I have been denied LTD per my drs insistence since this medical issue happened to me in august of 2024 but I am appealing it, it just takes so much time. My social worker with DCH recently told me to contact TES and also the Salvation Army but they won’t answer their phone or get back with me and I cannot drive right now and haven’t been able to for 6 months. . I recently had seizures (first time ever abt two weeks ago) that hospitalized me which sets everything back again. By at least 6 months.
I want to help myself and am trying and have never been in this situation before so just trying to get through. I have not been paid from job since August 2024. Thank you in advance for any references or ways to guide me for even the smallest of help.

Any links or numbers, resources, I would be grateful if you could let me know. I’m aware that non profit organizations can help with alot if this but no one in Tusc has any money or is even willing to call me back. I set up a go find me but no one has donated yet. All of my siblings live outta of state or Tuen and my parents are deceased.
I know there must be something I just haven’t found it yet. Please let me knuu it w or help if you can. Thank you so much and I am behind it being dropped by all of my insurances at this time and or contracts. Money runs out. :( I’m thankful for anything.
