During my internship at Udayan care, I worked as a Legal Data Compliance Intern, focusing on ensuring adherence to legal requirements related to data management and compliance frameworks. My key responsibilities included Verified and updated sensitive legal information such as Aadhaar, PAN, and Voter ID records of beneficiaries and employees.
Collaborated with home in-charges and field officers to collect, validate, and streamline data records.
Reviewed organizational policies to ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws and NGO regulatory frameworks. Assisted in maintaining confidentiality and security of records in accordance with legal guidelines.
Played a pivotal role in organizing child welfare data, ensuring compliance with guidelines from authorities such as the Juvenile Justice Act and CARA regulations.
Drafted reports and summaries of updated records for submission to government agencies. Provided insights on improving the data collection process to enhance accuracy and efficiency. This internship allowed me to hone my organizational and analytical skills while gaining hands-on experience with compliance frameworks and child welfare laws. It deepened my understanding of the intersection between law and social impact, inspiring me to contribute more actively to causes that uphold both legal standards and humanitarian values.
I had the opportunity to work as a Legal Intern at Udayan Care. This experience taught me a lot about how legal compliance works in the real world, especially in the social sector. My responsibilities included. I worked on checking and organizing important legal documents, such as Aadhaar, PAN, and Voter ID cards, for the people supported by the NGO and its staff. I coordinated with home in-charges and field officers to collect missing information, correct any errors, and make sure the records were accurate and complete. I learned how to handle large amounts of data in an organized way, ensuring everything was easy to access and legally compliant.
By working closely with the team, I contributed to building better systems for tracking and updating records.
This internship gave me hands-on experience in managing legal data, working with compliance frameworks, and understanding how laws impact the daily functioning of an NGO. It also helped me improve my research, organizational, and communication skills. Most importantly, it gave me the chance to use my legal knowledge to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
