I adopted Skye last January. I had been a victim of domestic violence the month before and almost did not survive. Someone suggested adoption for companionship and to feel safe since I live alone. I got so much more than that when Skye came home. She is my best friend, my therapist, and my confidant. I can't imagine life without her. Her personality is so strong, and she makes me laugh daily. I thank God for being blessed with such an amazing soul.
