Review for Doxie Rescue of Bucks County & NJ, Morrisville, PA, USA
Over the last several years, Doxie Rescue of Bucks County & NJ (DRBC) has provided me with two amazing rescue dogs. My first “rescue” (Sasha) was part of a special program to provide a home for senior dogs or dogs that have special medical needs. Sasha was my first “rescue” dog and she opened my eyes to the possibility of sourcing future dogs from a rescue vs. other traditional means. Late 2023, I took on a new rescue (Paisley) as a foster. About a year later, I formally adopted her.
Both dogs came from horrific circumstances that are difficult to imagine. Having a rescue that rolls up their sleeves and rescues dogs is heartwarming and inspiring. The staff at DRBC offer their time, resources, homes and so much more for the betterment of the dogs.
DRBC also provides a lot of reference material & resources about the Dachshund breed to ensure foster parents and adopters are set up for success which benefits the dog and those that contribute their home and time.
