I have been a Grist subscriber for more than five years now (and a vicarious reader through friends before that). It is an important daily reminder to try to live better and provides witty, good advice to help do that. The pieces on seeking out more environmentally friendly food sources and recipes are especially helpful. I also enjoy Umbra Fisk's Q&A columns, they offer very practical guidance. Of all the emails I receive, I always make sure that I review the Grist emails. The subject matter is too important to ignore!
