My volunteering experience was one that has been incredibly enriching, and definitely one that I will cherish forever. I am eternally grateful to the organization for being so warm and welcoming to me, creating an environment where I felt truly at home among the staff and fellow volunteers. This experience has not improved my practical skills but has also broadened my perspective on community work and the transformative power of collective effort. The daily struggles of the people in the communities taught me not to take anything for granted as well as the importance of empathy and resilience. Working in ECD allowed me to hone my interactions with children, developing my patience, creativity and understanding. The water research survey allowed me a wonderful opportunity to nurture my interview skills and gain insights into field research. The administrative work strengthened essential skills like video editing, writing and professional communication, as well as adapting to the office work and environment. I am sincerely thankful to VIN for the opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute, and I hope to volunteer with you again in the near future.
