Review for FACE AIDS, Stanford, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The FaceAIDS model of engaging students and young people to build a movement combines tangible results now for people suffering from AIDS and promise for future leaders who will tackle this issue. Their founding is in line with their mission, as the organization came about from the energy and passion of students, and it has continued to offer professional leadership on this global health issue with its recent staff hirings. My experience with FaceAIDS is always rewarding and I am confident they will continue to offer global leadership for young people fighting to bring an end to this health pandemic.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Seeing FaceAIDS pins around campus and around town makes me believe that we can build the movement, they engage students in meaningful ways and provide good support to campus chapters.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Try to get celebrities to wear our pins.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Working with other young people.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Young, passionate, engaged, inspiring.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Develop Rawanda programming and connect it systematically with US based chapters, strengthening further the global nature of this student movement.

Ways to make it better...

I think FaceAIDS can reach beyond college campuses and help students engage their community to get the word out.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Maintaining continuity and clarity of vision as they expand programs and geographically.

One thing I'd also say is that...

If we all wore the pin every day we would see how many people out there this organization has touched!

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  General Member of the Public & Sold FaceAIDS pins, interacted with management staff.
