For 10 years our San Luis Obispo, California Days for Girls Team has been going strong. We have partnered with Loloma Foundation of San Diego's annual medical missions to remote Fiji Islands that have no economy. Our team sew-ers live throughout San Luis Obispo, California's 700-square mile county, so we meet at various times and places to deliver unsewn components and pick up completed ones. We also have group sewing meetings twice a week that sew-ers attend, but most prefer to sew at home. Each year we've been able to increase our DfG Kit quota. After Christmas we will deliver 654 DfG personal hygiene kits (already packed and sealed) to Loloma for their 2025 Medical Missions to Fiji and the Solomon Islands. This means that over the past five years our DfG team has provided Loloma with over 3,000 DfG kits. Loloma sends us photos of the kits being distributed on the beach under the palm trees or at island schools. It gives us a great deal of joy to know we are helping pull so.many girls and women out of the imprisonment of their monthly cycle, giving them freedom to continue their education and live their lives with dignity and self-respect. We are strong supporters of Days for Girls International's efforts to provide menstrual education and supplies to women throughout the world.
