Review for Compass Rose International, Denver, CO, USA
I am the father of two daughters who (along with my wife and 4 grandsons) are the love of my life. Shocked by the history and magnitude of child sex and orphanage trafficking in Nepal and saddened by the increasing depression and suicide levels of Denver area youth, I joined the board of directors of Compass Rose International (then known as Global Orphan Prevention) in January 2022 and have served as its Treasurer for the past three years and will now be its Board Chair for the coming year. Why? Because I am passionate about our mission of “INpowering” and uplifting young women vulnerable to child trafficking and mental health challenges. By providing tools for resilience, confidence, safety, and independence, our programs have created a real, lasting impact for girls in Nepal and Colorado, helping them to rise above their challenges to chart a course toward bright, purposeful futures.
This year has been one of incredible growth and impact! We expanded the Nepal INpowerment Center to house 46 residents, planted 2,000 lemon trees, and INpowered a community of 3,000, while also hosting our first-ever Girls INpowerment Conference in Colorado. It’s been a year that all involved with this wonderful organization should be proud.
