I discovered this organization in 2016 and immediately knew I had to get involved. I started a team to sew DfG kits in August of '16 and continue to lead that team today with a small, but dedicated group of women who love this project too. I also had the joy of traveling to Nepal with a group of DfG team leaders, staff, and founder/CEO, Celeste Mergens, in 2019. I got to see first-hand some local enterprises DfG had founded there and some distributions of kits in schools. The joy and gratitude of those girls who received the DfG training and menstrual kits was palpable. I am proud to support this organization doing this very important work in the world to help lift girls and women out of poverty, starting with something so basic.
