Review for Keystone Elk Country Alliance, Benezette, PA, USA
Today, our second grade class had an exciting virtual presentation about elk. Our presenter, Ben, came virtually from Benezette, Pennsylvania to Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. He taught us so many cool things about these amazing animals. Ben showed us pictures and videos of elk in the wild. We loved watching them use their antlers to fight and pictures of them at night using a drone. It was so exciting to see how they live in nature. At the end of the presentation, we had a hands-on activity! Ben sent us a special truck filled with exciting things about elk. Here are some of the cool items we got to see:
- Antlers: These are the big, branch-like things on the heads of male elk.
- Footprints: We learned how to identify elk tracks! And compare them to deer tracks.
- Skull: We saw what an elk's skull looks like.
- Shoulder Bones: We learned about the bones that help elk move.
Ben did a fantastic job teaching us about elk! We learned so much and had a great time. We can't wait to share all the amazing facts we learned with our friends and family! Thank you, Ben, for a wonderful presentation! We hope to learn more about animals in our great state of Pennsyvania in the future!
