Review for Snowbird Outfitters Inc, Andrews, NC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My experience with Snowbird began many years ago...don't actually remember the year ,but it was before they started the summer camps and had the winter weekend retreats in the barn....my guess is 2000.It was an unbelievable spiritual adventure. We bunked in the barn, had sandwiches there, went over to Cataloochee to ski.But the awesome thing was the staff and their instant connection to the students. Steve Coleman and Brody quickly caught, and kept, the interest of the youth. We went home refreshed and full of God's spirit. I was super excited when my youth group expressed an interest in going to Snowbird's summer camp . What a change! The staff has worked so hard to create the perfect setting ...with a lot of help from The Great Creator!! Again, the atmosphere was electric with passion for the Word. Steve and Brody do not mince words..they teach the Biblical Truth, but in a way that young people find challenging and positive. The camp itself is awesome. The one-on-one with counselors was inspired, and my young people found new friends and new role-models the week in Andrews. I commend Steve Coleman and his staff for remaining true to their vision. The adventures are awesome...loved puddle -jumping and even the Zip-line...the music was fabulous...the skits dynamic...and the drama at the end of the week was magnificant!! If ever an organization deserved acclaim and support it is Snowbird...our young people are hungry for the foundation it supplies so beautifully!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

renewed fellowship among my young group, who learned valuable lessons in team playing while at camp. They also came away with a new interest in the Bible,as Steve and Brody's messages made the Bible a real and accessible roadmap for life.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

it has been difficult for my group,in a small Baptist Church in SC.,to raise the money up front. We usually go to a camp which requests a $75.00 deposit ,with the balance due in May .This is do-able for us,as it gives us those extra months for fund-raising.Otherwise,this camp is perfect.

Role:  Volunteer & I chaperoned a group from my church, joined in the adventures along with them.
