After 14 incredible years together, my life partner, Bill Wolters, experienced a miraculous rebirth on Saturday, December 9, 2023. We had just attended a Westlake high school game, when the unimaginable happened—he survived a sudden cardiac arrest. He was revived by EMS after 17 minutes of heroic CPR by a good Samaritan, Mat Nader. That day transformed our lives in an instant, reminding us of the fragility of life and the strength of love, prayer, faith and the good will of strangers. I am grateful specially to Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation and the community they have built. They helped me through so much during those early weeks of recovery.
