Our program, Missouri CARES, often works with survivors of cardiac arrest, their co-survivors, and their care teams. We have started to distribute cards with the CASA QR codes to our EMS agencies who do not know how to begin the conversation of life after a cardiac arrest but want the survivor to know that there is a resource that exists for them. We also share these cards with our co-survivors who are also affected by these traumatic events. Our survivors have personally interacted with the CASA network and have felt immediate support. I am not sure how our program would function without this resource. I urge everyone to learn more about CASA and to support their efforts.
