The Literacy Network of Dane County is an exceptional organization making a profound impact in the community. This one agency uses its resources to offer community support for ESL classes, citizenship preparation, and GED tutoring. In Dane County, 1 in 7 adults lack the literacy skills or English that they need to navigate daily life. Providing these services helps so many people in the county better navigate work, medical appointments, daily tasks, and appointments for their children.

The agency has the support from dedicated staff, who are always stretching to provide services to the growing number of students and from a large set of volunteers. Everyone who is involved with this agency sees the importance of the mission and the gratitude from the students. Management is very thoughtful in how it uses it's resources and how it expands services.
