Thesecondopinion organization should be the standard by which all non-profits are
measured. I was honored to have my prostate cancer case reviewed by
thesecondopinion Volunteer Physician team and their opinion both verified my
oncologist’s plan and provided a suggestion for an additional therapy, should his plan
not prove efficacious.
From my first interaction on May 27, 2024 with Program Coordinator Deborah Morris
through the consultation with the Volunteer Physician panel on June 28, 2024, the
process was efficient, compassionate and professional, and the summary of our
consultation, which was provided within a week, was impressive and extremely valuable
in my follow-up meetings with my oncologist and with a radiation oncologist.
The panel of six physicians was impressive and the research they had done on my
prostate cancer history even more impressive. My pre-conference meeting (by Zoom)
with Dr. Peter Gordon was very helpful and reassuring and his summary of the
consultation was thorough, easy to understand and very timely.
I truly believe my thesecondopinion experience will greatly enhance both my physical
and emotional well-being, and at 80 years of age I find that to be a true blessing.
