I have been a volunteer with ONE Spirit several times over the years and have been amazed at what the organization has been able to do, in collaboration with the Lakota people that live on Pine Ridge Reservation. Jeri Baker, ONE Spirit founder and executive director, has their interests in mind with every decision made and has put her heart and soul into the efforts to better their lives. The many people involved in the organization are devoted to the revitalization of the Lakota culture and independence of the Lakota peoples.

Since 2005, they have made a difference in the lives of people whose culture endures in spite of many years of extreme hardship. This is a nonprofit that is deserving of the highest level of funding and support for the important work they do.
