Review for The Dog Alliance, Cedar Park, TX, USA
Making the best of limited resources, the Dog Alliance leans into the unique connection between people and dogs, creating moments of encouragement, healing and learning where the two intersect. I have consistently found the Dog Alliance leaders and volunteers to be just the right mix of knowledge, passion and pragmatism as they curate moments for children, veterans and others to benefit from some dog time. The impact is immediate in the form of relaxation for the overstressed and joy for even the dog-averse. Buck Barlow, a golden retriever who volunteers at various Austin schools, is a prime example of the well-trained dogs that represent the Dog Alliance in a wide array of settings. His calm demeanor, effective listening and delicate treatment of any age child are all remarkable things to see. This is a non-profit that delivers on its remarkable potential for the betterment of humanity and dogmanity.
