We have been a Colombian NGO beneficiary of donations from American Bird Conservancy and we are witnesses of its financial transparency, the high commitment, professionalism and friendliness of its staff. We highlight the support they provide to local communities for the conservation of endangered and endemic birds in biodiverse territories that face serious threats (e.g., illicit crops, law enforcement conflict). It is not an easy task, but their leadership and comprehensive vision allows them to understand that conservation must respond to the contexts of each territory and must mobilize new generations. For this reason, they are unique and different, deserving full financial support. If you support them, you are supporting not only the long-term conservation of threatened birds, but also the empowerment of the communities and NGOs with whom they work.
