The American Bird Conservancy is one of the most outstanding bird conservation organizations in the world. Even though they bear the name "American" Bird Conservancy, their reach is worldwide and have been instrumental in helping secure land for numerous bird conservation efforts globally. I can tell you first hand that the staff is passionate about what they do, as I have traveled with a few of their members to South America to help the local community there become involved in the conservation of a very rare hummingbird. Their commitment to education also is evident by their outstanding website. And as a board member of the International Hummingbird Society, I have been delighted at the willingness of the staff to speak at the annual hummingbird festival about conservation topics. I am happy to give the American Bird Conservancy a five-star rating, as they absolutely deserve nothing less.
