I had precious opportunity to be invited by IFED as China-US Friendship Ambassador in 2009 with the other 2 girls from university, to exchange our understanding about the same & difference between West & East with US schools of all ages (from kindergarten to university students), which absolutely opened the door for me to see the world outside for the first time.
We were warmly greeted and welcomed, shared about our daily lives, activities & mindset. The understanding gaps were bridged and the communication channel was opened and kept.
Thanks to IFED founder (Ms. Patricia L. Sullivan) & sponsors (Ms. Nadeen Green & Mr. Ned Cone, Mr. Robert Metz and Ms. Pam Metz), we experienced what we can only imagine in the book, took the flight for the first time, had coco-cola for the first time, enjoyed pajama party for the first time, had the first hot spring spa under the moon and discussed about defining moments, and so much more.
What a trip, experience and dream life that any person can only imagine and we were given. And we're so much inspired that we cannot wait to explore and create our own life, and pass it on to the others like us.
After all, instead of just taking, what it really matters is that we should always remember what we were given and give it back and pass the spirit on.
