Review for Gig Harbor Peninsula Historical Society, Gig Harbor, WA, USA
My wife and I were at the museum to look at the Wilkes Expedition Exhibit. As with everything at the museum the exhibit was very well done. The staff has created a number of very informative posters to imform the visitor about The Wilkes Expedition. The staff also provided a number of hands on experiences for the children who visitied the museum. We were fascinated by the amount of informationthat was provided for us to read and the somewhat unusual methods Wilkes used to discipline his crew on the voyage. Top notch job by the staff.
