I recently attended Aging Forward’s National conference. I found it to be incredibly thoughtful and well-organized, with a great balance of engaging content and opportunities for meaningful connection. The sessions were not only informative but also highly relevant to the challenges and opportunities we face as affiliates. I appreciated how the event was tailored to the unique needs of smaller affiliates like ours, which often operate under resource constraints. The conference served as a much-needed reminder that, despite being focused on our local operations, we are all part of a larger, dynamic network working toward a common goal. It was especially valuable to engage directly with both other SC affiliates and the Aging Forward staff, gaining new perspectives and insights. Overall, the experience reinforced the sense of community and collaboration that drives our work, and I left feeling energized and better equipped to move forward.
