I've been volunteering with COSILoveYou at their CityServe Days and Backpack Bash for the past 3 or 4 years and have seen the impact they've made in Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas firsthand. From cleaning up the grounds of public schools, to organizing and cleaning apartments for mothers coming out of homelessness, to cleaning and stocking shelves at a local food pantry, to collecting and distributing backpacks and school supplies to 1,000+ students, this organization does a fantastic job of seeing tangible needs and then mobilizing the community to come together and meet those needs. The respect shown to both the volunteers and to the partner organizations is phenomenal. Seeing churches, businesses, nonprofits, and the local government work together towards a common goal - serving our community and loving well - has been wonderful to watch through the years, and COSILoveYou continues to grow more and more effective through each event they pull off.
